When you arrive at your destination we will arrange for you to be met by a guide or driver (depending on the programme) and whisked off on your adventure. Tesfa Tours will book you into locally run hotel or guest house. Favourites include Tukul Village, Jerusalem Guest House and Aleif Paradise in Lalibela, Gheralta Lodge in Tigray, Lodge du Chateau in Gondar and Abay Minch in Bahir Dar. Guides will take you off to explore the churches, castles and waterfalls in the area.
We will tailor all off this to enable you to spend quality time with the communities you trek through, whether in the Lalibela area (Wollo) or in Tigray. Upon arriving back in Addis we will again ensure you are met and taken off to either explore more of Addis or take it easy at the guest house or hotel. On your last evening our guide can take you to a traditional restaurant, or if you like something non-Ethiopian but unusual you might choose an Armenian restaurant. You might also like to hear the local entertainment at a Traditional Azmari Bet where you will be one of the few non-Ethiopians listening to local minstrels and watching how Ethiopians move to their local rhythms.
