I just wanted to write and thank you for the most wonderful trip to Ethiopia. I had an absolutely fantastic time and can’t get over how beautiful the country is and how lovely and friendly the people.  Thank you again for all your hard work in organising the trip. I would definitely recommend Tesfa Tours to anyone thinking of visiting Ethiopia and hopefully will be able to come back again myself and do another trip with you. Catherine Nursaw, UK. Visited during Easter 2013

This was my fourth Tesfa Trek! And I loved it as always.  Everything went smoothly with the guides and the communities, and he evening at Shimbrety with drumming and singing was a highlight. I have recommended this trek to family and friends. Bogdan Batic (Feb 2013), Resident in Addis with the EU

It was really one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I wanted to thank everyone at Tesfa for making it possible.  Our guide was incredible – he taught us so much not only about the life and environment of where we were trekking, but also about Ethiopia and its complexities in general.  But most of all, I was incredibly humbled by the people who live and work the land in the mountains where we were.  I got but a glimpse of how hard their lives are and will never forget it.  And I will never forget the experience of children running to us yelling “Salam! Salam,” to shake our hands, and in some cases, to practice their English.  It touched my heart deeply. Elise Slobodin (Mar 10) Brooklyn, NY, USAKevin Beer with Meket kids

Kevin Beer with Meket kidsWe weren’t just giving to a charity, we were receiving an amazing experience, and the people doing all the work were getting vital extra income for providing it to us.  (Dec 09), Kevin Beer (English teacher in Madrid)

“..the perfect holiday: affordable, unforgettable and in one of the most awesome, exotic and unexplored parts of the world. This is a trip that will enrich your life and that you will likely look back on from your deathbed with a smile.” Manchán Magan writing for the Irish Times, Nov 2009

We stayed at all 5 sites, and it was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anybody coming to Ethiopia … if the sites in Meket were amazing, Abuna Yoseph was beyond expectations.(Jun. ’08) Rita Wittmann, Austria

We really enjoyed our trek, it was an amazing experience and everything was perfect. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I could not believe how beautiful the scenery was on each and every day. What you have done in setting up this community tourism programme is truly admirable.(Dec. ’06) Muireann Coen – UK

Mequat Mariam was stunning and the facilities and service excellent.(Mar 06) Malcolm Smart, DFID-Ethiopia

My memories of Meket are infused with the sense of having been genuinely welcomed by the entire villages – from the fire lit coffee ceremony in Wajela to the warm gestures, smiles and handshakes during a visit by the committee of farmers who oversee the Mequat Mariam site.(June 05) Nancy Strider – Canada
